Gain Over Loss

Not everyone that you lose, is a loss.

I’m trying to find myself after losing you. Maybe that’s what I needed to find, this part of myself that I knew never existed. Losing myself to you, was actually what needed to happen in order to find myself. It carved the way to my path and my voice.

I’m still trying to figure out if I was the one losing in all of this. Maybe, I was in the beginning but now I feel I can take on anything. I no longer feel the need to think that I’m losing, because I had given most of me.

Sometimes we place such a value on someone’s life that in fact we’re not the ones at a loss but the other way around.
