From new blooms, Spring's hope
beauty reawakened
I passed by new flowers blooming today
Oh! Joy.
For does it not signal the start of a hopeful spring
Renewed
Happily, with this rejuvenated season of beauty
Arrives a newness in mind and spirit
Our world re-awakening to find
Peace, love and unity
And remembers days gone by
When it's only wish was for clear blue skies
Not panic and aloneness and
Empty jaded eyes
Focused inwards upon ourselves
That wont to wish for the end
of such tempered times, forced upon us
By nature's might and misery
Of death and wanton cruelty
Yet shall we dance again, together
Under moonlit skies and starry nights
In sultry moods be nestled, and so
With calm serenity be
Enveloped in tomorrow's warm embrace
Filled with laughter and freedom
We crave the sweet droplets of rain upon
Our upturned faces
To behold the wonder that is us
In innocent childish joy and delight
To arise to meet new challenges
To seize our days and cherish our nights
To bask in yellow rainbowed sunlight
Shining, hopefully, on familiar faces
For do not our timeless hidden glances
Long for the soft kiss of a raindrop on our cheeks
As the wind caresses our brows and tussles our hair
We shall bid a fond fare thee well
To old man Winter and his cocoon of white and cold
And revel in our new found freedom
Beneath variegated leaves on arms of trees
Outstretched to bid us welcome
One and all
To life renewed
And so
We begin anew
Once again.
