Starward Bound

What of this dust,

kicking up,

away, wisping?

Breathe, breath of

those before me.

And what of me

under their feet?

Those of the living,

breathing after me,

coming after me?

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust

nothing can keep me,

not even your love.

Dust you are,

to dust you shall return.

Soon, it will be,

it will be your turn.

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust.

Nothing can keep you,

not even my love.

To have, and to hold,

to love, and to cherish,

until parted by death.

This, my solemn vow

until my last breath,

starward bound.

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust.

Nothing is forever

except for dust.

I will love you, forever,

from dust, to dust.

Nothing is forever,

except for us.
