Starward Bound

From Dust to Dust

What of this dust,

kicking up,

away, wisping?

Breathe, breath of

those before me.

-

And what of me

under their feet?

Those of the living,

breathing after me,

coming after me?

-

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust

nothing can keep me,

not even your love.

-

Dust you are,

to dust you shall return.

Soon, it will be,

it will be your turn.

-

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust.

Nothing can keep you,

not even my love.

-

To have, and to hold,

to love, and to cherish,

until parted by death.

This, my solemn vow

until my last breath,

starward bound.

-

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust.

Nothing is forever

except for dust.

-

I will love you, forever,

from dust, to dust.

Nothing is forever,

except for us.
