This world is an egg shell
Yolk leaking from its cracks
Cooking from the outside in
From our devious acts
The recipe is simple
Yet we watch it burn
Decisions made with greediness
Politics at every turn
The smell is overbearing
Gas omitting in the air
Old white men swirling
Curdling it resources without care
Despairing on-lookers troubled
Masks covering their expressions
Everyday a new crack appears
Government ignoring science lessons
A drop of blood inside the yolk
Gives hope to life in utero
The desperate cry of riches
Futile endeavour fades to zero
