A quick blur of light

Passes me by

But nothing is in sight.

Continuing down my path

I see another blur

Then I hear a tiny purr

But only for a second.

All was quiet once more.

Not a single sound in the woods.

All around the forest floor

There is beauty to be found.

The creatures enjoying every second

To make the most of their life.

So peaceful to forget one’s strife.

As the wilderness begins to beckon.

The blurs appear once more

But this time I saw them.

Speeding to the very core

Hearing the hum from their wings

As they all passed me by.

Showing me what life brings

To those who never cease to fly.
