In the ocean deep and blue,

A wondrous thing you'll find in view,

The fish glide by with glee,

Their gills stirring, you can see.

Like little fans inside their chest,

These gills help them to rest,

And bring oxygen to cells,

No lungs needed, just their gels.

Their beauty is unmatched,

As fish swim with ease unmatched,

Their gills help them to breathe,

The ocean their endless sheath.

So let us all take a minute,

And marvel at this wondrous exhibit,

Fish gills a sight to see,

Helping them swim so gracefully.
