The Battle for Ukraine's Soul
In Ukraine, a war rages on
Russians and Ukrainians, their wills drawn
Drones and tanks, innocent children fall
Their deaths, unnecessary, the cost of it all
A conflict without end, without peace
Threatens the society, the chaos won't cease
Not just Ukraine, the world's at risk
Escalation looms, war's deathly kiss
The fear of nuclear weapons, the horror
Could plunge us all into the darkest hour
And the lack of gas in winter, a chill in the air
Without heating, cold and despair
Putin, the Russian leader, holds sway
His power and sword, a dangerous display
Where's the white dove, where is the peace
To end this conflict, let the fighting cease
May we find a way to end this strife
And embrace a future, filled with new life.
