fire that burned ablaze.

Two girls sat by the river's edge

Two girls sat by the river's edge,

Their hearts and minds both filled with pledge.

They talked of love and what it meant,

Of feelings that were heaven-sent.

One girl looked into the other's eyes,

And saw a glimmer she couldn't disguise.

Her heart beat fast, her hands grew warm,

And she knew then she'd found her norm.

The other girl returned her gaze,

And felt a fire that burned ablaze.

She too had never felt this way,

But couldn't help but want to stay.

They kissed then, softly at first,

Their bodies now filled with thirst.

Their hands explored, their hearts entwined,

And they knew that they were both aligned.

Their journey of discovery had begun,

Their love for each other had just begun.

And as they lay there, under the stars,

They knew they had found love, unmarred.

So here's to the two girls by the river's edge,

Who found each other and took the pledge.

May they be forever happy and free,

As they continue to explore their sexuality
