Eye of the Storm

Heading Into the storm

Seems crazy when you know it’s coming

But you said you would

You’ve made plans

You’ve cancelled others

You are flying into the eye.

You wanted to see the crystal sparkling waters

The white sands

The rainforest

The sunsets

But unfortunately nature had other plans

You will be peering out of a rain slashed window

Into a sludgy grey void

Your own peaky face

Staring back at you

Is all you can see

But it’s going to pass

And every thing will feel fresh

As the slices of blue

Begin to return to the heavens

The anger of the roiling ocean

Will gradually be becalmed.

A tropical break in January

Not the wisest plan

But certainly dramatic!
