Everything Is as It Should Be

An Original Poem

Everything Is as It Should Be

Leaves of green and mystery branches

Stories that hide from young to old

Sunsets of orange, purple and yellow

Birds softly chirping from the trees

Children laughing, faces passing

Everything is as it should be

Campers come and campers go

Canoes on the lake that flows

Boats and swimming everyone having fun

Everything is as it should be

Sleeping in cabins

Feet dirtier than a teen boy's mind

Never having to ask why

Everything is as it should be

Then, fighting and clashing

Yelling and crashing

Targeting and heavy breathing

Stop

Breathe

Remember what you came here for

Everything is as it should be
