Aliens were unfamiliar to the concept of plumbing.
Furrows lined their brows as they pointed towards the cistern.
In unison, they chanted in a series of gurgles demanding -
the function of this object for them to learn in return.
A whirlpool began to form followed by a churning flush,
Causing our guests to widen their eyes lit with astonishment.
I continued the demonstration with the toilet brush.
Their swollen heads tilted at an angle in acknowledgement.
One of the members slid a green digit on the white porcelain,
Leaving a trace of fluorescent slime behind.
The washroom gave off a pungent odor of formalin,
As the group examined the odd invention of humankind.
