Escape

I flew thousands of miles to get away.

Hundreds more to start again.

And while it may seem like I know exactly where I am going,

the truth is: I just really want to escape.

Why did no one tell me though,

that escape is just another tricky six-letter word?

Another tricky six-letter word just like,

Regret.

Here is the funny thing though,

I escaped to an area unheard of and uncomfortable,

to want to escape back to what is known.

I leapt twelve feet in the air,

only to fall down fifteen and climb back three.

Escape is funny,

because locations mean nothing when you are running from many six letter words.
