Did you not know my power?
Don't be confused.
Did you think you could trick me into thinking I deserve anything less than my worth?
I feed my soul with good seed.
I nourish her and water myself.
I am a gift and I am a giver.
I pour and I am poured into.
My energy wraps around my legs,
snakes up my body and clothes me without shame.
My soul sparkles like jewels.
My spirit smiles like a child.
I don my good deeds and kind words like bodily ornaments.
Honey spills out of my mouth and venom sits underneath my tongue.
My lips are only sweet.
I possess fangs to protect what is mine.
My fingers are cool - to soothe - like smooth balm.
My eyes are warm, they bless whomever they land upon.
I am a mother, I bear child.
I am that child that was born.
I am a piece of art.
Beautiful in my entirety,
but always better with a few more brush strokes.
My soul is smooth jazz
and a warm fire on a dark night.
She's rich like full wine,
But never indulges.
Her cries are like the fading of piano keys.
When she laughs the symphony in her chest resounds!
My soul and mind and body and the energy that surrounds it,
are an ecosystem, a romance, a motherhood and a teacher. A learner.
So do not mix up the projection of your insecurities,
and what you think I should be onto me.
