Fire ignites beneath

my skin, consuming my heart,

sparked by a smile.

.

Soul light as air, my

feet touch only clouds, weightless

after the first kiss.

.

When storms come we stand

as one, weathering winds while

rains nourish our roots.

.

Those roots grow deeper,

branches sturdy with fresh green

stretching to the sky.
