Dreams

Good and Bad

Everybody has dreams

Some good, Some bad

But no two dreams are alike

Each dream is a special creation.

Some having stories and adventures

Others just pure imagination.

People don’t realize that the kindest suffer from horrifying dreams.

Haunting them each night and sometimes in the day.

Depicting every move as if it were to be their last.

Except they pretend like their dreams are pure

They mask it with helping others

The more they help the more they seem normal.

But each night is another fight.

Staying up long nights

Talking to friends and convincing themselves they are awake.

Music and tears fighting the urge

But only sleep grows near

Nightmares win every night

Luring them in inch by inch till they can take them in a complete swallow.

Walking zombies in the day and rag dolls at night.

Their mind is a battlefield for their nightmares to play

Except for the nightmares make all the rules.

Each person wants to make a world of their own

But for others it gets a little out of hand

To the point they can’t take back control.

Monsters ruling everywhere.

Dreams come and go.

Some good, some bad

But they are never here to stay

Moving to the next person one by one

Like a virus spreading from friend to friend.

Not stopping until it’s infected everyone.

You aren’t the first and won’t be the last.

Dreams can change.

People die

People live

In dreams anything can happen

Even the worst of possibilities

But that doesn’t mean it’s the end

Some good and some bad

The person can decide.

Dreams don’t last forever.

Anything can happen

About the Creator

Natalie C..

I am a young writer who lets her creative flow through her writing. I tend to write on the darker side of topics because a lot of people don't. I have a darker imagination than most people.
