Doubt

Poetry about giving love

I can see the doubt,

doubt in your eyes.

I can hear the doubt,

doubt in your voice.

There’s not much to figure out,

and

I won’t try to fight it,

cause I know why.

But I want you to know,

if you’re a hurricane,

I will be the ocean,

to give you resilience,

to march forward.

I want you to know,

I won’t slow you down,

I will run with you,

Chasing tides.

I want you to know,

That you taste of heartaches

and war.

And it makes my heart

yore.

I want you to know,

You are meant to be loved

as a whole.

My love for you is not

a foul.

I just want you to know,

If you dare to jump,

I will jump with you.

And we will fly,

without, a doubt
