Don't look

inspired by a certain movie

It all was written in the stars,

From wars to pieces and to SARS.

Who comes, who goes, who stays, who leaves -

We drank the tea, we read the leaves,

And then we ate the leaves, because

We were so hungry for applause.

But some of us disliked the looks

That we were getting from the nooks,

The crannies and the men in black,

And so we forced the gears back

One rusty tooth by broken by nail;

We were so sure we shall prevail

That we have carelessly ignored

The cards, the wax, the Ouija board,

The common wisdom - and of course

Things went from good to bad to worse,

And now our only hope is Mars.

Let’s go and buy some candy bars.
