Discarded, Or In Transition?

Transform a negative mindset into a positive one.

Does it truly make a difference

Whether you are still

A friend

A kindred spirit

The destiny

To someone who no longer

Sees you in any such way?

Do you suddenly not

Matter anymore?

You may seem like

A small, insignificant

Part of their history

But this doesn’t mean

You’re a spider’s web

Or collected dust

Or a wrinkled blanket

Left unattended

In their home.

You must decide

How this shared past

Will shape your future.

You, too, have a story

That must continue on.

To something,

Or someone,

You are forever loved

And lost as well.

You must decide

How you will handle

Those feelings.

These nights and this life

Can never be empty.

Wine could never

Wash it all away.

In the dead of winter,

All that may be heard

Is a drone

For as long as

This cycle continues.

Don’t be the one

To numb another

In their solitude,

And freeze their heart

And soul.

Trust in the ability

To keep love alive.
