I sold out my dreams

I sold out my i-n-t-e-g-r-i-t-y

For a 500 ft² living space

And my name next to yours on the door

Tossing away my anonymity for animosity

AND AN S.A.T. VOCABULARY FOR ONE IN lower case

While the creative juices spill beautifully out on the floor

I sold out my dreams

For a bucket of {hope and change}*

And probably some novacain to keep me numb

*terms and conditions apply for these most elaborate schemes

While you trade your children and love your stock exchange

You can never fool me;

  • you were born,
  • & raised,
  • & will die.yuppie.scum.

About the author

Brandy Stewart

The sailors say I'm a fine girl. Graphic designer, illustrator, writer, reader, gamer, dreamer, storyteller. I make things and care about them. My life exists somewhere between painfully logical and lost in an overly complicated daydream.
