Descended Into Darkness
‘Black Rose’ Poem Collection

Darkness descended,
A mind full of fog; intoxicated
Descended into darkness,
For that is where the thunder in my heart takes me,
Just like that, I’m in the midst of hell
The way I changed,
One drink was enough to send me to the edge;
The mix of self-hatred,
Drink and anti-depressants
Just like that, I was drifting,
Feeling heavier than ever
A drift that would sweep me away into what lay beneath
Descended into darkness,
I had become a shell of pain
It’s approaching a year now,
A year on I have so much to talk about,
From lights fading out to illuminations!
I’m more now,
More than I was;
More than I thought I would ever be!
Just like that,
Things became different.
