*** December 21st ***
By the Moonlight
By the moonlight
As the evening darkens, stir by torchlight
Prepare the lanterns, set the fire, landmark
The people gather here to see the spark
When daylight wanes, sun withdraws, longest night
***
Dance around our little suns, find respite
From the dark, deepened shadows infinite
By the bonfire, all will laugh and yell. Hark!
By the moonlight
***
Picking up pace, now the lanterns take flight
Spin, spin, in the darkness, become daylight
Behold the cold and winter night, so stark
Await the moment of the deepest dark
Moon above, revellers as one unite
By the moonlight
