Dear Writing Platforms
Social Media platforms that both help and hinder the creative soul
Creativity morphed into a psychosis
A neurosis exacerbated daily
Increased levels of tension and anxiety
Synopsis of wanting to please
Words formulated hastily
Chasing fame and popularity
Cents to dollars added to the writer’s charity
Worthiness of words or the perfect photo
Abundant for some whilst poverty for others
Endless chastisement in one’s capabilities
Will I get noticed and curated?
Does that define my popularity?
Does that allow me to sit with the Gods of notoriety?
Or is it a complete clickbait bullshit reality?
Nothing but a numbers game
Algorithms to follow and master
You either fit into it or you don’t
When your soul is made bare
Yet the appreciation is just not there
You gotta keep writing and just not care…
