It’s a non stop deal, a term that was set

But it’s actually eternal in very fine print

The curtain was slowly moving

It was revealing

And we didn’t like it

So we kept it closed

We only would peel it back

When we want a small taste

You spit it out

It is drawn up sometimes

Too real, it feels

And too scary

Too many questions

Can’t put it down in words

Don’t want to say anything out loud, but we say so much

You thought you drew the curtain

You thought you could Show us a fake picture to showcase your real fear

But it was a mirror

A horror reel

A sad face of anger boiling

You hold to me like I’m your last breath

What’s behind the scenes

Behind my bleeding curtain?

A center of dreams bleeding blue

And yellow and white

Cutting off my circulation

Words have no meaning

I’m hiding behind the folds of the spotlight, though I’ve been so
