Crystal.....what is it about you. Shiny yet dull, simplicity with a powerful pull. You’ll get lost in its grasp going way to fast. Who are you Crystal? Are you human.....we speak the same language but your voice is unfathomable. Thoughts out of control yet the source being from ones soul. When you speak, you speak volumes. “Go ahead.” Wait what did you say? “Consume me!” Ok if you insist but just one hit. Like a virgin soak for the very first time, one hit prolonged into nine. Heart slowly picks up speed, pupils dilate and now my mind begins to take off like a newspaper press. Boom-Blast as I take off like a rocket, systems check, ready to orbit space! Man......wow......OH MY GOSH! Beautiful Crystalline what exactly are you? So superb giving me the strength of ten thousand man, the speed of ten thousand cheetahs. My brain processing like a super computer. Could you be the secret key to life itself infinity. Uh oh, CRASH!!! Before I know it, a energy so lite and high with a come down so heavy and low. What happened Crystal? Can you hear me? Are you there? Crystalline where did you go? Like a virgin addicted after one crazy night, the world will never know.

I promise her. I'd do anything for her. She's my mom. Even as Lanie and Deanna are flying home, Mom is scrappy fighting dying. She lays too still in that too-big bed with all the toasty white hospital blankets, in the south tower, at the broad end of a long slow-turning corner that delivers me again to her private room with the view she can't see through, with the beeping that tells us nothing new, and all these ice chips she can't swallow, and a flood of well-intentioned nurses who cannot do a damned thing all the same.
