Crazy Over Again

A poem I wrote back in the late 90s. Once from the vault!

The time I evicted you,

it was enough for it to rain

And when it did,

you didn’t go in vain

It felt like I lost my game

-

The first time that I saw you,

I was ablaze

And when you walked the walk,

On the first night,

it felt like I knew forever your name

-

One time I ran into you after I sent you

That moment passed and went nowhere

becoming an old photograph

You turned to try to say,

“I missed you”

-

That moment burned in my mind

like an old put out potent flame

-
