Compassion

Compassion is helping someone worse off than you.

The shirt off of your back if someone needs that, too.

It's listening, understanding, eyes meeting eyes.

It's feeding the homeless, even if it's just fries.

It's helping someone learn a new job or new skill.

Giving out socks when in the air there's a chill.

Working in programs that help out other creatures or beings.

Looking beyond looking and actually seeing.

It's listening to someone even when you have no clue.

Sometimes that's the best thing you really can do.

There are so many different versions of loss and bad luck.

Get involved (!) instead of just passing the buck.

Don't forget! Everyone needs at least the one friend-

Who will love and support them right up to the end.

It's thinking of the world beyond your own mind, a

And taking the time to do something that's kind.

It's watching the world and filling other people's needs.

And then you can witness those flowers grow from your seeds.

Because, when you extend a hand- it becomes contagious.

Putting yourself out there is outrageously courageous!

Compassion is being in someone else's shoes.

If you live with no judgement, you have nothing to lose.
