Code Red

Original Lyrics

And I haven’t got acquainted yet to waking up in silence

No more than the rhythm of my heartbeat pulsing through my fingertips

It’s gotten so easy falling asleep to an existence so empty

And I’ve gotten so lazy trynna explain why I burned these bridges

Maybe if I close my eyes

It’ll change direction

If I forget about all the returned red lies

Then there’d be no code red

Can’tcha see the code red

Once again I talked myself into believing that I had you in the palm of my hand

Didn’t understand how somehow, I fell down

It’s gotten so unclear how so much has changed from when it first appeared

And by the end of the years, things’ll get worse from now in the atmosphere

Maybe if I close my eyes

It’ll change direction

If I forget about all the returned red lies

Then there’d be no code red

Can’tcha see the code red

I will rise from the ashes of the bridges I have burned

I survived & I carry all the lessons I have learned

So if the world ends & I lose what make me strong

I know that I still have the strength to carry on

Maybe if I close my eyes

It’ll change direction

If I forget about all the returned red lies

Then there’d be no code red

Can’tcha see the code red
