Clumsy Ella,

The elf,

Whom falls off the shelf

The one whom

smells of peppermint

and hot chocolate!

When she is naughty,

her hands are sticky

Always

Wearing a frown

Clowning around!

When she is nice,

her hands are

spick and span

Always,

wearing a grin,

All the while,

playing a cheery tune

on her Mandolin.

So,

if you hear feet pitter-patter...

Do not get up to see, what is the matter!

Pay no mind,

Clumsy Ella,

fall’s nearly all the time...

A scrape here

A scratch there

Her ideas,

as fresh as

newly fallen snow—

If you see

an ornament on the floor.

Clumsy Ella, for sure

Zip lines down strands of garland!

Her favorite

late night snack of all

is sticky popcorn!

So don’t forget,

to pop the kernels,

Stir in the marshmallows

Warm the butter-

Check to and see if

Clumsy Ella,

The elf

Whom falls off the shelf

The one

Whom smells of peppermint

and hot chocolate!

Has a smile

Or

A scowl?
