Close Your Eyes

Colours mix, sounds merge...

Close Your Eyes

Colours mix, sounds merge.

Drunk with prescient beauty,

Bursting with anticipation,

The dream is unfolding.

Keep your eyes closed a little longer.

This dream will not change you,

This dream will not pass away

Like seasons and men.

Keep your eyes closed a little longer.

I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man? - Zhuangzi

NB: This poem, which I wrote in 2007, is my second submission to the Sensational Challenge organized by Vocal Media in April 2023.

That's it for today! Thank you for reading!
