Climb

The / journey of / a thousand miles, / begins with, / a / single, / step. That’s / what they say. But / where is / that / first step? All / I see/ are cliffs; / Not a step / in sight.

The word Climb in black on top of scattered parchment paper with blurred poems on them.

The

task

which lays

before you,

Looming.

Daunting.

Scary.

~

The

journey of

a thousand miles,

begins with,

a single,

step.

~

That’s

what they say.

~

But

where is

that

first step?

~

All

I see

are cliffs;

Not a step

in sight.

~

So

what now,

oh

wisdom

of the ages?

~

How

does one

take a step

up a cliff?

~

A

Looming.

Daunting.

Scary.

Cliff.

~

You

find the

handholds.

~

And,

you climb.

~

Slowly,

but,

maybe not

steadily.

~

And

then,

the slope

decrees.

~

And

the climbing

gets easier.

~

And

then,

the ground

evens.

~

And

you can walk.

~

Only,

because,

you climbed.
