Cartoon Expressions

My animated face from five in the morn...

My animated face from five in the morn

Has not left the faces of the torn

Men’s hearts that I have left

In a trail that leads to theft;

Of the pure intentions that they had

And I believe that I am, in fact, bad.

And my blood flows calm

As theirs wakes to no alarm.

And I know too much of emotion

As my cancer moon takes motion,

Yet I am filled with disassociation

As nothing allows my devotion

To take flight without a stone being thrown,

And I know there is no alone

As long as this youthful eye glows

In sweetness, and rich grass grows.

Understand that these cartoon expressions are real,

And who I hurt may never heal.

So I step back in threat

In case this encounter ends in regret.
