I will soak up every last drop of the sun...
until I am bronze and radiant,
charged and confident,
bold and brazen.
Insecurities melted and forgotten,
worries wilted and bleached clean.
I am now alive,
in survival mode, no longer shall I struggle, or strive.
Sensing gratitude toward the sun for having bestowed,
such a gracious gift toward the end of life's road.
Unbeknownst to me, the rest of those in the world grew dim,
for embedded in me was their long lost gem.
All eyes were on me, beaming and blazing,
for soon, all hell... they would be raising.
