Boredom Takes Hold

For the Mind of the Bored One

As boredom takes hold

My mind is left to wander.

Memories fly free.

Emotions suffocate me.

Times ticks by slowly.

Days are are a lifetime to me.

I close my eyes tight.

I hold my breath for a while.

Sunlight fades away.

The night I find comforting.

I sing songs I know,

As to not feel all alone.

As boredom takes hold,

My mind wanders in the cold.

Leaving me empty,

Someone please, I beg, save me.

I sit here alone,

Yet no one truly can know.

The time passes by,

The hourglass has broken.

The night turns to day,

It all seems to stays the same.

I try and try, yet,

Never really knowing why.
