Blue on Blue

.An ode to blue skies

Blue is the sea, the deep, deep sea,

Blue as if berries had been crushed to make tea

Dew drizzles honey into its depths

Brewed by stormy nights to a perfect "B"

Blue are the heavens, the heavens so high

Blue as if cotton candy spun to world's end

Spooled with sugar dipped in dye

Drools with pleasure when rain to earth descends

Blue are your eyes, those Mark Harmon eyes,

Warm as a springtime rain

Cold enough to freeze my heart
