Looking at you through blue lenses

Where have you been and where are you standing

Today, or rather lying

On your back

Defeated and scarred

On the whole body

From what you did to me

For all the time we were together

Instead of enjoying ourselves

We have become

Generals from opposite camps

During this cold war going on

Between sexes

Both baffled at the estranged attachments

With each other once

Now left in vain, irrelevant

To anyone

With the only prompt

Of herbal tea

Which supposed to put to sleep

This love

Yet unfortunately it’s spinning

In circles

Leaving stains on old wounds

Not healed properly

Unless we’re going on about it again

What was wrong?

And why fight instead of love?

I will never find out

Once the trail turned cold
