Kills The Knight

Black And White

Kills the knight

As he dreams a dream of the beautiful star lit city

He can't help but wonder, what a pity

He wonders too much

Thinking about what could be

What could have been

What should have happened

His thoughts race

Faster and faster

Unable to latch on to one

His mind goes black

The beautiful lit city

He saw so clearly

As if it wasn't just a dream

Had turned dark and dreary

At the end of the city

As the lights flickered off

In each and every home

One by one

Down a line

Faster and faster

Illuminated

Transformed by the night

Stood a Knight in pitch black armor

He stood taking the city's light

Draining it of life

What could be done

In this horrid dream

Nothing

Because he was distracted

He couldn't stop thinking

His mind went haywire

Turning his nice beautifully lit dream

Into a dark nightmare

His worries and fears

Illuminated in the dark Knight

All he has to do is find the light

Make his dreams come back to life

Find the white

He most desperately needs

Calm down enough to understand

How to gain the upperhand

Thoughts

Fears

Worries

Lessen with every breath

His thoughts slow down

The beautifully lit city comes back into view

Leaving him with hope

Black and white shining from within the knight

Breaking his hold on the dark thoughts of life

Black and white

Kills the Knight
