Tall or short never a thought,
Skinny or fat never a care,
Male or female
Who’s to say
Yet you smile at the sight.
You love even when
I have lost my mind,
You listen as I confided,
Keeping all the secrets til the end.
As I do the same,
Smiling at the sight,
Loving thought it all,
Telling the truth
Even when it hurts.
Never judging
Always lending a hand,
Giving a hug,
You stand and care.
Always there, helping
Without a thought,
Kind and strong,
When there is a need.
One of a kind,
Special for sure and just mine.

Just Sixty Seconds
Oliver sat at a cold, grey steel-covered table. He knew he was next. The longer he sat here, the more confident he knew he wouldn’t make it. His hands were tied to the chair he was sitting on, pushed up against the steel table. A small camera in the corner of the ceiling with a tiny red flashing light was the only thing he was focused on. He felt sick to the stomach. He knew he didn’t have long.
