Day turns night,

night into day

years of passing moons,

abandoned space

White sands now

dead beneath my feet

Midnight skies,

where diamonds lay,

serenity begins to fade

Musky air strangles

taunting breaths

Smell of death near,

eager to cave

Phantom flames dance,

wavering blessings

Black holes materialize,

wonderland bound

casualty of anguish

Swallow hard,

taken by the monster within

Songs of battle flow

make believe triumph

freedom rings

Ugliness suspended,

spectral light shines

August heat rises

Hysteria exposed,

stripped to the bone

Leap of faith taken

Graveling in the night,

Phoenix wings take flight

born again even in

my darkest crimes

heartbreak
