I want you to be mine,

please be my valentine.

I’ve been longing to ask you

to be mine,

my one and only,

my valentine.

I want you to be my valentine

today

and tomorrow

and until the words end.

I want you to be mine

and I want to be yours

and together

we will live out our years.

If you promise to be mine

I promise the romance will never end.

It won’t only come once or twice a year

but endlessly.

Grand gestures

to the little things.

You will always know,

it is you who I keep

at the center of my being.

I ask you today,

Be My Valentine,

I can’t promise you

the world

but I can promise you

what we have

will be divine.

I can’t promise you easy,

but, my love,

I can promise you it will be worth it.

I promise you will be my valentine

through this life

and the next.

I promise you all I am.
