Battle

Battle
Sometimes in life you learn letting go is the path for you.
Your heart is heavy and your soul gets painted from poison around.
You let go and drop all the shattered pieces you've clung to all these years.
You struggle and fight not to scoop them back up off the cold ground.
Happy times and hard times lay shattered and strewn all around.
What you thought you wanted is no place to be found.
You fight and scream to be heard and believed but the deafness surrounds.
There is no one to meet that need.
It is not optional, you will fall to your knees, fight for breath and purpose as those pass you by.
But there's nothing but darkness eating the light.
Soon you will stand and take a deep breath
The fight is almost over you have only to raise your head.
Look above not below; on the ground that's so cold.
Love is surrounding you, but you must have hope.
Letting go of what you love and have lived so long for;
Will take strength and wisdom, more than you ever knew you could hold.
You never know if your choice was right.
Have you given up the fight before the battle was won?
Could you go one more mile at a dead run?
Will your decision hit you on those cold lonely nights?
Will the visions rend you when you finally feel right?
You can never know the answers, but one thing is clear.
You are free and forgiven because you did not fail here.
You were failed and forgotten, when you needed it most.
You were thrown and trodden upon at the whim of those who should give hope.
Hold your head high my dear;
You may never have the answers but some answers are not yours to hear.
The answers are given to the powers that be
So take a breath and walk away because this battle was never your fray…..
