𝖠𝗅𝗅 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗍𝗂𝗆𝖾 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗄 𝗂𝗍 𝗐𝗈𝗎𝗅𝖽 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝗀𝗈𝗍𝗍𝖾𝗇 𝖻𝖾𝗍𝗍𝖾𝗋. 𝖭𝗈?

𝖫𝗎𝖼𝗄𝗒 𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝗅𝗂𝗏𝖾 𝗐𝖺𝗌n’t 𝗌𝗍𝗎𝗇𝗀 𝗈𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗐𝖺𝗒. Yeah cause you know better and in time it will grow and it will fuck with your head no? Yeah and 𝖼𝗈𝗆𝖾𝗌 𝗂𝗇 𝗐𝖺𝗏𝖾.

𝖶𝖾’𝗋𝖾 𝖿𝗎𝖼𝗄𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗎𝗉 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗉𝗅𝖺𝖼𝖾, 𝗐𝖾’𝗋𝖾 𝖿𝗎𝖼𝗄𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗎𝗉 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗉𝗅𝖺𝖼𝖾, 𝗌𝗁𝖾𝗌 𝖽𝗋𝖾𝗌𝗌𝖾𝖽 𝗂𝗇 𝗐𝗁𝗂𝗍𝖾 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗌, 𝗅𝗈𝗈𝗄 𝖺𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝖼𝗁𝗂𝖼𝗄 𝗌𝗁𝖾𝗌 𝗀𝗈𝗇𝖾 𝖻𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗇𝖺𝗌. 𝖶𝖾’𝗋𝖾 𝖿𝗎𝖼𝗄𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗎𝗉 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗉𝗅𝖺𝖼𝖾. 𝖶𝖾’re fucking up this place not looking for a reason to start again, not looking for a reason to start again.

𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐢𝐚

Banksia was a bit if an experimemt. Sonicly and lyricly there was no clear dirrection and thats what fueled its creation. Here’s what I have to say about the lyrics.

I like to break the song up into sections. All of which have seperate meanigs but co-exist within the same body.

Straight forwardly, I’m speaking about people, to people & for people. It’s about craving to be seen and heard and feeling connected. It’s about wanting to be understood. It’s about feeling lost in life, mental health and the song protests this with tension and release.

Wrapped up in its own little hazy world you can make your own sense of this song in your own subjective life as we all do. That’s how I like to write.
