Why do we Always End up Backsliding?

How do we always end up here just backsliding?

Even though we know we are not right for each other

But I just want to know how you became my vice.

It has come to the point where we meet undercover

It’s clear to us not all the strings are detached

There are still some feelings left between us I know

We have put ourselves in such a dangerous place

All because we just don’t know how to let go

I don’t want to play this game with you anymore

Because I know I’m just going to be your quick fix

But every time that you go and hold me close

I try to hide from you the fact that my heart skips

I want to move on from you and find someone else

And fall in love with someone that I can truly trust

I don’t want you to enter in my house anymore

I want to leave our love outside so it can rust
