Arrival

Once upon a time

In the mainlands of Accra, Ghana

A little town off the coast of the gulf of Guinea

Was born a baby girl of little expectations

Not in sorrow nor in pain

No music was sang

No one came to visit

Even her father was out of sight

But what was her fault

What has her cute little fingers done

That in the space of joy she took the place of a son

My left arm barely moved in the womb

So she was born with a stiff hand

A disability she will carry for a short period of time

Took longer to leave the hospital

Because her Dad refused to pay the bills

Like it wasnt enough her real began in the real world.

To be continued..................
