Art

Do you know what it is

To hold the note in such delicacy?

To write words to the very edge of the page?

To close the eyes at such ecstasy?

at Art?

Do you feel the mirror at such music sang?

Can you touch the colors of thy painting as if it were thy blood?

Do you breathe?

Do you dance?

Do you make Love?

Clasp me between the corners of thy books,

between the simplicity of the ordinary and the brilliancy of the mad,

Between the kiss not kissed

And the night not yet lived.

Yes, you, who has spoken

What emotions have you forgotten?

What deep longings do you not have the time to explore?

Or venture about?

What numb thoughts keep you confined in a future this world has drawn?

What picture do you see when the empty page has been already formed before you?

Break free from yourself! You tamed human!

Break free from what you know! And then from what you think you know!

and you will find . . . not only what you are looking for, but what you need, what you want, who you really are, and,

most importantly,

what Art thou here for!
