aquarius moon

i want to unravel you from the inside out

/ you're a princess, purple dragon, and you're first in line.

when it pours, you patter through the puddles in picture perfect pose

prowling purple dragon, paperweight eyes.

when we met, you were dressed in paprika, pacing back and forth across the hall. you're a

puzzle,

purple dragon,

purposely leaving out pieces for me to ponder upon.

i pencil you on paper, but it doesn't quite capture the pulchritude that you possess. /

// i want to sleep with you

[ but not in a way that makes your spine swirl ]

you smell of cedar and sage, slipping simply into sync with me when we converse.

i want to fall asleep with you softly and sincerely,

but i'm just a solicitous boy

and you are not mine. when it snows

you shelter me in hand-stitched scarves and hats

before saying goodbye. //

/// when it flurries, you burrow face-first under a flock of blankets,

frozen by the

falling of drops on the fractured fanlight. you used to love the rain,

and now it just makes you forlorn. i want to flake away your facets with feather-light fingers,

leaving you flayed on the floor. i want to unravel you from the inside out

my fairytale girl

fuelling a fire that burns me. ///

//// on the windowpane, a lark's wings touch a windpipe

from your sister,

and you weep.

you see her in waterlilies

i see you in wedding rings. when a wine-throated hummingbird

sings, you whisper and writhe

writing your vows on my skin with your lips

watercolour woman, i'm always weak when you withdraw your hands. ////

///// i ache for you, apocalyptic artist

and i cannot sleep. alone, i am my own antagonizer,

and you are the antidote.

when they absorb me, i cannot speak, and you speak for me

apprehender

aphrodisiac

but i am an abstruse boy who cannot dream, and i see you in the stars when i fall asleep. /////
