I stand there,
staring at the night
looking for what could have been
seeing all that has been.
and in the distance,
her voice sings to me
it dances softly across the sky
meeting me with a kiss on the cheek.
oh how I long for her
I pray for the safety of her embrace
when will I find her comfort
will I ever feel her love
