And Just Like That
Moments of You
Tears welled up in your eyes
You looked at me and began to cry
Your voice so loud, your pain so real
I almost didn’t know what to feel
~
My heart was heavy
Frustrations grew strong
What just happened?
What went wrong?
~
The cries made me angry
They also made me sad
I felt so very helpless
Because so, I was mad
~
As the tears started to fall
Outlining those chubby cheeks
Your head began to tilt
And look back up at me
~
Your lips curled to a smile
Then you kicked your little legs
You suddenly looked happy
Instead of seeing red
~
You began to laugh
With giggles of such glee
And just like that you cured
Frustration inside of me
