And I Keep Going On
A poem about staying strong in uncertain times
A heart so heavy, I can't feel its beating.
People's suffering weighing down on my shoulders.
Then, somehow, I'm forced to say goodbye to my brother.
This can't be real.
Lonely even when friends and family say they're here for me.
Maybe I really am too weak for all this shit?
I can't keep picking myself up.
I can't keep trying to move on.
But I remember that, even on cloudy days, the sun still manages to reach my skin.
And I keep going on.
Thank you for reading my poem and showing your support. We're in this together no matter how lonely we may feel. Keep going on.
