Alive Alone * Alone Alive

A Poem

. ALIVE ALONE * ALONE ALIVE.

Can you really stand an isolation chamber?

Alone with only thoughts.

Without supplies to create.

No human hand or voice but your own.

Just a single room with a bed and nothing

But time to reflect on the life you

Knew outside of it..

Without a window to watch the world.

Sleep, masturbation, imagination, physical

Exercise are what's at hand aside from

Memories.

Can you stand yourself like that?

Being the only thing that is living.

I'm in my own isolation chamber right now.

I have all the tools I need to reach past

The madness that has brought me here.

I'm dying fast enough to slow life down and

See what it is and means.

I can deal with my thoughts and how I've

Lived thus far.

I can survive being inside here.

Place me in the space with nothing and I

Will use my resources to the best of my

Ability.

Sleep for a minute.

Think of life.

Imagine a few things.

Do a few push-ups.

Jerk off in the corner.

Go back to sleep.

Like exiting this room,

Once I can leave the chamber I'll see

The madness has returned once again.

Best to stick it out.

Live right.

Keep a good head.

Isolate, drink, write

And get to bed.
