After a Dream
Photo by Jr Korpa on Unsplash

While I was sleeping, I was charmed by your presence

a dream of happiness, you were with me

your eyes were enchanting; your voice pure and soaring,

your radiance shown like an amber sun at dawn.

You called to me to join you in heaven.

In the sky we’d be free, flying together

where heavens part their clouds for us only;

we glimpsed iridescent splendors; discovered the unknown and divine.

Alas alas, when I awoke from my dream,

I called to you, oh night, I wish you would come back

come back, come back, radiant night

come back, oh night, mysterious night
